Shaq to Keynote Online Business Summit

December 7, 2020

Businessman Shaq is at it again… Investor, entrepreneur and philanthropist Shaquille O’Neal has been tapped as one of the keynote speakers in an upcoming virtual summit for a big-money high-tech company.

The company is SRAX, a financial technology company that – according to their press release – “unlocks data and insights for publicly traded companies through Sequire, its SaaS platform.” The company says Shaq will be one of the two big featured speakers at the company’s 13th Annual LD Micro Main Event, a big two-day online conference for investors in the high-tech business space.

Just like a lot of other events that had been planned as an in-public show, this one is online, and will be held December 14 – December 15. Nearly two million active small-cap investors have been invited to the event… when an event is online, there’s obviously no limit to the size of the potential audience. Along with SRAX, another 250 companies will have a “virtual show booth” to talk with investors.

Along with Shaq, another keynoter will be Brock Pierce… quite an interesting guy. According to Wikipedia, Pierce is an American entrepreneur and former actor known for his work in the cryptocurrency industry. Years ago, he was a child actor who had roles in Disney films such as: The Mighty Ducks, D2: The Mighty Ducks, and First Kid. He was also an independent candidate for President last year (but those of us here at ShaqFu Radio have to admit, we never saw him in any TV commercials or debates…)

As for SRAX, you may not have heard of them… but they’re another one of those up-and-coming names in the convergence of financial markets and technology. The company says it provides investor-related data and insights for publicly traded companies. Their online software platform called Sequire helps other companies “track their investors’ behaviors and trends and use those insights to engage current and potential investors across marketing channels.” (Again, from the company’s press releases.)

In other Shaq-related business news, O’Neal is scheduled to be interviewed by business reporter Charissa Thompson a week from now (as of this writing) next Monday. The interview is being put on by Genius Brands, Inc. That company is producing Shaq’s new animated TV series call “Shaq’s Garage.” (See previous stories here on ShaqFu Radio for more on “Shaq’s Garage” show.)

Shaq will talk with well-known Fox sports broadcaster Thompson about his career as a successful businessman, philanthropist, and his philosophy for success in life. If you’re interested in the online business summit, and seeing Shaq in a suit, doing his investor-thing, you can register for the event (it’s free) at https://ve.mysequire.com/. There will also be an online interview with Brock Pierce, which should also be very interesting.
