Just another day – or month, in this case – for our man Shaq. From a million-dollar Super Bowl VIP Party, to buying a family in need a new minivan..and now “gifting” himself an amazing new ride on the occasion of his 50th birthday. And like we said, all pretty much in just the past month.
And knowing O’Neal the way we do, we know that no “regular” or “off-the-shelf” gift would work, right? Of course not. When you’re a TV character, NBA legend and multimillionaire, it’s got to be something special. And that’s exactly what the big man has created for himself.
Shaq already has quite the collection of sports and classic cars. Check out the previous ShaqFu Radio blog posts about his mega-mansion in central Florida. That home included a garage that looked like a new-car showroom or museum, and it was filled with all kinds of super-cool cars and motorcycles.
Shaq’s latest set of wheels is a brand-new and very customized Dodge Charger Hellcat. From the factory, the car comes with an insane amount of horsepower. But of course Shaq didn’t stop there. Check out the pics and IG video below on the Shaq-inspired silver and red custom paint job, along with the custom “Diesel Dog Mafia” logo on the hood and right side of the muscle car.
Shaq’s official birthday date is March 6th (set your annual calendar reminder!), but he was already talking about the new wheels online a few days early. He called the big five-oh, the “best birthday ever.”
For the car project, O’neal Swaggpack Shaq, Atlanta Street Xecs, and Padgett Motorsports, calling them “best car club ever.” Among the changes, O’Neal has added butterfly wing doors to the muscle car, which isn’t something you see every day.

As for the underhood particulars, there wasn’t much that needed changing. Right from the factory, the Hellcat edition comes with a giant 6.2-liter V8 engine, delivering 697 horsepower.
Is it fast? Well, also owns a high-powered Dodge Demon. About that car, Shaq had to say: “That son goes so fast. I done embarrassed Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Teslas.” This new car has even more power, so yeah, it’s gonna be fast.
How does it feel to own and drive a super-cool whip like the Hellcat? In Shaq’s own words, “I feel like charles barkley eating a piece of chocolate cake.” That’s pretty special!
