A strong new track dropped today (as of this posting date) in the rap world, and it’s a big shoutout to our man Shaq and his old teammate and friend, Kobe Bryant.
Rappers Rick Ross and Meek Mill have unleashed a new joint single called “Shaq & Kobe.” The track dropped Friday, September 29, along with the official music video. Check it out below.
The clip shows the two rap stars trading verses as they flaunt their luxurious lifestyle. Here at the offices of ShaqFu Radio, we particularly like the images of the luxury lifestyle, especially the private jet!
Ross and Mill have collabbed before. The pair hit the stage together back in November 2022, but it’s been a time since the two did anything together. Music industry insiders talked – quietly – of rumors of some friction between the pair for a while but earlier this year. True or not, the pair were seen together in the studio previewing new music.

The new song is “SHAQ & KOBE.” Our man Shaq said that like other music fans, he can’t wait to hear the new track. Originally, Mill teased that he would leak the track earlier, as long as fans in Instagram added twenty thousand comments to his original post.
We’re not sure how that went, but the track is out there in the wild right now. Some of the rap talks about having strong partners and leaders in life, and how those benefits extend through the generations.
Of course back in NBA days, Shaq and Kobe were known as the most dominant pair to work the hardwood together. They pushed each other, supported each other and brought out the best in each other. Yes, there were times of friction between them as well, but for the two of them, it was always about winning and being the best. Good advice and wisdom for all of us these days!
